Beef and Barley Skillet
This easy ground beef recipe is made with barley, lean ground beef, tomatoes, and seasonings. It's an easy dish to prepare and cook in the skillet.

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup chili sauce
- 2 cups canned tomatoes, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 3/4 cup pearl barley or quick-cooking barley
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, onion, celery, and bell pepper and cook, stirring and breaking up beef, until beef is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain off any excess fat and stir in
