Apple Butter Betty

  • 1 jar (12 ounces) apple butter
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 cups soft bread cubes
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts







Combine the apple butter, melted butter, lemon juice, and vanilla. Add bread cubes and chopped nuts; toss to coat evenly. Transfer mixture to an 8-inch square baking dish. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve warm with lemon sauce, ice cream, or whipped topping.
