Glazed Ham Slice with Cranberry Raisin Sauce

  • 1 ham slice, about 1 1/2 inches thick, or 2 thinner slices, stacked, 1 1/2 to 2 pounds total
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • dash ground cloves
  • dash salt
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 1/2 cups cranberry juice
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Slash fat edge of ham at 3 inch intervals. Place ham in a shallow baking dish; bake at 325° for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, make the cranberry raisin sauce. In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, ground cloves, and salt. Add remaining ingredients and cook over medium low heat until mixture thickens and begins to boil. Remove ham from oven. Spoon some of the sauce over ham and bake 20 minutes longer. Serve remaining sauce with the ham. Serves 6 to 8.
