These brownies are easy to make, with cocoa, vegetable oil, and chopped walnuts. Feel free to add chocolate chips to the batter or substitute pecans for the walnuts.

Total Time: 43 minutes
- Heat the oven to 350 F.
- Combine cocoa and baking soda in mixing bowl; blend in 1/3 cup of the vegetable oil. Add boiling water and stir until thickened. Stir in sugar, eggs, and remaining vegetable oil; stir until batter is smooth. Stir in flour, vanilla, and salt, mixing until well blended.
- Fold in chopped nuts.
- Pour into a greased 9-by-13-by-2-inch baking pan.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
- Cool brownies in pan on rack.
