Creamy Green Beans au Gratin

In this green bean casserole recipe, canned green beans are layered with bacon and shredded cheese then an egg mixture is poured over all.

Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes


Put beans into a shallow, buttered baking dish. Sprinkle green beans with crumbled bacon and shredded cheese. in a bowl, combine half-and-half or light cream, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and eggs; whisk to blend well. Pour over beans and bake at 375° for 25 minutes, or until set.
