Easy Classic Lasagna

This is a basic layered lasagna recipe, made with ground beef, ricotta cheese, purchased spaghetti sauce, and seasonings. It's an easy meal to throw together, and it's always a hit. Feel free to change it up with ground turkey instead of ground beef, or omit the mushrooms if you aren't a fan. Related:

Yield: 6 servings
Instructions:
- Heat the oven to 350 F. Grease a 2 1/2-quart baking dish.
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown beef, onion, and mushrooms; drain well. Stir in spaghetti sauce, garlic powder, salt, oregano, and basil.
- In the prepared baking dish, layer one-third of the lasagna noodles, one-third of the sauce, and one-third of the ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses. Repeat the layers twice.
- Bake the lasagna in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until thoroughly heated and bubbly around the edges.
- Let the lasagna stand for 8 to 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
