In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, and spices. Add quick-cooking oat, raisins or dates, and nuts; set aside.
In another large mixing bowl, beat eggs. Add melted butter, milk and flavoring. Stir in flour mixture and mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake in a 350° oven for 15 minutes.
