Mom's Special Salsa and Marinade

  • 2 cans stewed tomatoes
  • 1 whole onion, diced
  • 8 cloves garlic, chopped fine
  • 1 bunch green onion, chopped
  • 4 jalapeno peppers, chopped fine
  • 1/2 bunch fresh cilantro, chopped

Chop stewed tomatoes into small pieces. In a non-aluminum bowl, add the chopped stewed tomatoes with juice, diced/chopped onions, finely chopped garlic, finely chopped jalapeno peppers and chopped cilantro. Mix well and let chill for at least 1 hour. That's it!!!!

It's a great topping for eggs, marinade for grilled poultry, beef or fish, and of course, a great salsa for tacos or just for dipping. Adjust the recipe to your liking (more jalapenos if you like it hotter or less if you like it milder, etc.) Anything goes!!!
