Beans & Biscuits

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 can pea beans, 21 oz can
  • 1 package refrigerator flaky biscuits, (10)
  • 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese







In a skillet, brown the ground beef. Add to this the barbecue sauce and brown sugar (adjust amounts to your taste). Mix well and add the beans. Simmer a few minutes and pour into a casserole dish. Open the package of biscuits divide them and cut across the middle.

Place these on their cut edge around the outer edge of dish, pointing from edge to center. Sprinkle the cheese generously over the tops of the biscuits. Bake in 350 oven until biscuits are brown and crispy, about 30 minutes. Serve with a tossed salad.
Serves 6.
